Ok, ok, I'll try and catch up

This may take some doing to bear with me. Two weeks ago I rode my bike up to Bishop for the day. That was a pre-ride for the Yosemite trip I am planning for June 9th. Memorial weekend, I went to Cedar City, Ut for four days of bike riding. I logged 1845 miles. Great country, great company, and great scenery.

OK, we just got back from Alaska. What a trip. I am really impressed with the state. It is nothing like I had imagined it to be.

Sorry I've been absent from my post here. After my return from France, I sprained my ankle and didnt' do much traveling. There were a few little trips, like a weekend in Laughlin, Nevada during Christmas, but for the most part, I just stayed local.

Then, just before Christmas, I got a new motorcycle, a 2005 Gold Wing. It's an awesome bike and rides great. Now I'm going all over the place. So, I guess I had better get busy and start writing again.

Last weekend, my group went up to Morro Bay. We were there Friday through Sunday and had a great time. I counted 27 motorcycles so that would translate to about 50 people. We did some great riding along the coast up past the Hurst Castle where we stopped and watched the sea lions giving birth on the beach. Very facinating. Then we went a little further, took a coffee break, and then drove down to Cambria to do some shopping and to have lunch. After that, we did more riding through some twisty back roads. The bike ran perfectly and my wife and I had a great time.

We came home on Sunday only to find that the Santa Ana winds were kicking up. We got home just in time to wash the bike and put it away before the winds really started to blow.

France

I know, it's not a west coast travel event, but I just finished spending 10 days in France. What a trip. I'll try and post photos and details as time permits. Please stand by.

Not much has been happening

Well, not much has been happening lately. We are preparing for a trip to Paris on June 9th. We'll be gone for 10 day. For those of you educated in government schools, that means that we'll be returning on the 19th of, any one? any one?, June, that's correct.

I hope to have lot to say when I return. Until then. A bientot.

05-05-05 Disneyland's party begins

Thursday night, Vicki and I went to Disneyland for the opening night of what is to be an 18 month celebration of their 50th anniversary. What a night it was. The park is all decked out in special decorations and most attractions have received a new paint job. The park is looking it's best. But the best part is the new fireworks show.

I can hardly explain the fireworks show except to say that it is awesome. I've made several attempts to try and describe the fireworks show but to no avail. It is just something you'll have to see.

A new exhibit is "The First 50 Magical Years" located in the Mr. Lincoln Theatre (as I call it). There is a display of how Disneyland looks on opening day along with many design posters and memorabilia. The movie, hosted by Steve Martin, takes you through the history of the park. It is very good.

I hope all of you will get the opportunity to see the park during the 50 year celebration.

Sailing from Long Beach, CA

Saturday, I went sailing with a friend. We sailed out of Long Beach, CA into the beautiful harbor and into the deep waters of the Pacific. The winds were up and the boat was sailing at max speed. It was a warm and sunny day, and we haven't seen too many of those lately. Anyway, we sure had a ball and are looking forward to a long summer. Posted by Hello
