Poppy fields
Today, Vicki and I drove to the poppy fields up near Lancaster. Because of the rains we've had this year, the fields were the best they've been in several years. Poppys were everywhere and in full bloom. The following photos will give you a good idea of the cover.
The day was a bit windy so it didn't offer very good opportunities for photographs, but I did the best I could. The butterflies were out in full force as well. My windshield can attest to that. We also drove through a swarm of bees to add to the mess. Wonderful day though.
