recap
Last weekend was a fairly busy weekend since we finally got a weekend without rain. On Saturday morning, I rode my Goldwing, along with two other riders, to San Diego for breakfast with the Goldwing Chapter down there, CA1F. They had a great turnout at their meeting and we all had a good time. The weather was overcast but decent.
Following the breakfast/meeting, I went back home and proceeded to take care of some of the many items I wanted to do around the house. Changed the oil in the bike, had the oil changed in the truck, mowed the yard, and more exciting things.
Saturday evening, we went to Disneyland for dinner with another couple who also have annual passes. We ate at the Winery in Disney's California Adventure. Following dinner, we went on the Haunted Mansion ride in Disneyland park. While wandering around, we discovered that the new ride, "Buz Lightyear's Astro Blaster" ride was operating. It is scheduled to open on Thursday (3/18) but they had it running so we got to go on it. What a fun ride. Little cars that rotate and every rider gets an astro blaster to shoot at targets.
On Sunday, Vicki and I went to Buena Park for the CA1Q Chapter meeting (Goldwings again). Another breakfast meeting. This time, after the meeting, we went over to Mike Thompson's Motorhome dealer to have a look around. They were having a big sale and a friend of ours works there so we thought we'd just look around. Even though we are not in the market, it's fun to pretend and try and decide on what would work for both of us.
Following that, we went home, changed cloths, and went for a walk down at the beach. That is typical for us at least one day on the weekend (we'd prefer both days). The weather was a little cool, but dressing in layers, it felt good.
We're supposed to be taking a motorcycle ride to Anza-Borrego Desert next Saturday, but the weather doesn't look like it's going to cooperate. They are calling for 50% chance of rain. I'll bet the desert flowers are blooming like crazy. We may just take the car and go anyway.
